No Greater Love

I've got some very exciting news to share. My book, No Greater Love is being translated into French! The release date is September 12th and I'm anxious to hopefully gain some new readers. I've also received a new cover which I'm totally in love with. He certainly makes a delicious looking Eros.

I've been working on several works in progress. I've got a Christmas story that I've signed up to write for eXtasy this year and I'm also working on a short short featuring my heroes from A Realistic Romance. It's been fun to revisit Merrick and Samuel and see where their lives are now.

I'm also working hard on the next Circle of Friends book. I have totally fallen in love with Tyler and Damarys and I hope when everything is said and done, you guys will love them too.

The next Men of Charlestown book is also in the works too. It's more angst than the previous books, so it's taking me longer than I hoped to write.

My next projects will be the next Kissed By and Sons of Aphrodite series books. I HOPE to get as much as I can completed before the year is up.

I hope everyone has had a happy Summer. Since I HATE the heat, I'm ready for some fall weather!

Love you!

Weekend Plans

I've been visiting with some family this week. Ashley and Snow White spent a couple of nights with us and we had a great time! The bad thing about company is that I haven't wrote a single word this week! Now I've got to play catch up, but it'll be worth every second because I really enjoyed their company.

I mailed my contract for A Realistic Romance out to Extasy books and now I'm waiting to hear from them. I'm sure I'll be getting some edits soon, and hopefully I'll have a release date for y'all pretty soon as well.

I've got three books I'm working on. Two Blue Collared Hero books and my book about Samuel's brother Sidney. I've got to get a system together where I work on them equally, which will be easier said that done because I am not the greatest at keeping organized sometimes. I'm determined to give it a shot though.

Chris is dragging er...taking me to a car show in the morning. I enjoy going to them sometimes, but I'm not in the mood to go. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll feel differently about it, especially if it's as pretty a day tomorrow as it has been today.

I am reading one book this weekend.

Shawn Lane will have a new book out from Amber Quill Press this weekend called Still the One. YAY! It's a continuation of Malcolm and Dusty's story. I'm pretty excited to read that. Otherwise I plan on doing a lot of writing.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Happy Reading!

Great News for Merrick and Samuel!

For the past couple of days, I've been floating on cloud nine. As y'all know, I've been hoping that Merrick and Samuel's story, A Realistic Romance, would find a good home. I'm very proud to say that Extasy books offered me a contract for it, in which I happily accepted it.

I really think I'm going to enjoy being part of the Extasy family. I've been impressed by the way they've communicated with me and I'm very excited to start a new venture with them.

Once we get through all the legal stuff, I hope I'll be getting my edits so we can get a release date. Of course, I'll keep y'all informed of everything as it happens!

So, I'm planning on writing about Samuel's brother, Sidney, in the very near future. I'm still working on my blue collar books which is coming along nicely too!

I want to thank everyone for being supportive and has encouraged me to continue to write and keep trying. I truly have the best Internet friends around! I don't know if I could have done it without you!

I'M DONE!!!! YAY!

WHEW! I'm finally finished with Merrick and Samuel's story! I had every intention of having it finished yesterday, but Chris had other plans. He took a vacation day yesterday so we could spend Valentine's Day together. How can a girl resist that?

Final word count for Merrick and Samuel's story is 29,750. I almost made 30,000. I predict that Sidney's story will be at least as long as Merrick's. He's been pestering me more than every other character living in my head, so he's next. I'm going to take all of friends advice and make him fall for a nerdy hero. Thanks for your input with that idea, I appreciate it:)

All I need to do before I sent it off is a title and a synopsis written. I dread both. Ironic since I've reviewed so many books, but for some reason writing a summary for my own is difficult. Isn't that strange?

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day. Thanks again for the encouragement, y'all. I appreciate it!

I wish he would drop the towel!

I really wish he would drop the towel!

It's been a busy couple of days. I've been trying to stay on top of housework, laundry and everything else I've put off until the last minute.

On the plus side, Merrick and Samuel's book is coming along very nicely. I've gotten 26,000 words written and should be wrapping it up by the end of the weekend. YAY!

I'm debating on what to write next. I had planned on writing my May/December story next, but Samuel's older brother Sidney is driving me crazy. He's a starving artist, who works part time in an art gallery and does other odd jobs to get by.
He's outrageous, bossy and has a Gothic look that he always works to his advantage.
I'm thinking someone conservative will rock his world up. Maybe someone even a little or a lot nerdy even. What do y'all think?

The weather is still horrid here. The snow has never melted and now they are calling for even more snow here tonight. Is it me, or is the weather crazy where you are too? I'm thinking it's from all of his global warming we've had, which is pretty frightening if you think of it.

Lily is finally house trained. *Keep your fingers crossed* I'd forgotten what it's like to have a puppy. Daisiemae had tons of toys, but in the past year she neglected them quite a bit. Since we've had Lily, every night she drags out every one of those toys and plays with them. Now my house looks like a tornado hit it! Puppies really are a lot of fun!

Snow, snow and more snow

Whew! It's been a busy couple of days. We spent the weekend with my sister and had a great time.

I think I might be the only household in America that didn't watch the Superbowl. Chris went to work and I decided to have a night of listening to my favorite music while I wrote. I have just over 20,000 words written so far. I plan on writing more tonight. It's still my goal to get Merrick and Samuel's story done and submitted this week. I've really enjoyed writing their story and surprisingly, Sidney, who is Samuel's brother has intrigued me. He just might end up with his own story to tell. I hope so, because he really is a fun character.

I still haven't heard any news on the Sweet One and I admit I'm getting anxious. I'll let y'all know one way or the other what happens. If TEB doesn't accept it, I'll eventually have a home for it. I'm anxious for all of you to read it. I enjoyed writing it, and I loved Noah and Micah and I'm hoping you will, too.
It has snowed over seven inches here today. Of course, nothing keeps my husband from going to work. Once again, I smiled and waved goodbye to him from our living room window. There really is something in a man's mentality that says they can conquer anything in a vehicle!

I hope everyone stays warm and has a great week! Talk to y'all soon!

I'm excited to go see my family

Not a whole lot has happened this week. The snow is just beginning to melt away and I'm glad! I'm tired of being cramped up in the house. I'm going to my sister's Friday and I'll be back on Sunday. I'm ready to see my niece and family. I haven't seen them since Christmas, and I'm starting to get a little home sick to see them.

I've been in a romantic mood, so I've been watching romantic movies this week: Notting Hill, Last of the Mohicans, You've got Mail, When Harry met Sally and so on. Every time I put one of these movies in the DVD player, Chris just rolls his eyes. Funny thing is once it starts he becomes as hooked on watching them as I am.

I'm still waiting to see if The Sweet One will have a home. Also, Merrick and Samuel's story is coming along pretty nicely. I'm hoping to have it done sometime next week. I'm ready to get started on the other stories running around in my head!

If I don't see Y'all around, have a great weekend!
