Happy Friday

Hello friends:)

Well, not much has happened this week. I've been working hard on my latest book, Angel's Redemption and I hope to have it finished by next weekend. Happily, the hundred plus degree weather seems to have passed us by here in the sticks. It's starting to cool off and even the nights are nice and chilly. Admittedly, I'm thrilled to say goodbye to summer. Honestly, summer is my least favorite season. Between the heat and humidity, I turn into a wilting flower when I'm outside so I have a tendency to hide in my dark, cool house until September. 

One crappy thing that's happened is my husband's job has cut out overtime. This is something they usually do every year around the holiday season, so we have to watch out nickels and dimes until the end of the year. Thankfully, I thought ahead this year and I've already bought Christmas gifts this year, so that won't be an added expense we'll have to budget for. Speaking of Christmas, my mother informed me a couple of days ago that Christmas will be celebrated at our house this year. Just thinking about cooking and getting everything in ship-shape makes me want to break out in hives. Thank god I'll have a few months to prepare for it!

I've been flirting with the idea of writing a paranormal/shapeshifter book. It seems to be the trend right now and I've had an idea floating around in my mind for a couple of weeks now. So I'm not sure if I'll jump on the werewolf bandwagon or not. I know I enjoy reading these types of books, but I'm not sure if I want to write one or not. What do y'all think? Do y'all enjoy shapeshifter books a lot or do you think these types of books are just a trend right now?

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. We plan on hanging out at home, hubby might be going fishing and I hope to get a lot of writing done.  Heck, I might even leave the dark cave of my living room and sit on the back porch and enjoy the nice weather for a while.

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

It's done nothing but rain all day. According to the weatherman, tomorrow promises for much more. UGH! It's been so pretty outside all week, but now that it's hit the weekend, it looks drab and dreary.

Not much is going on this weekend. Chris and I are going out tomorrow morning to get groceries, other than that, it's going to be a nice and relaxing weekend at home.

If I hear, "Honey, guess what..." one more time I'll...

I'm over halfway done with my story I'm planning to submit to Dreamspinner on Monday. I couldn't work on it yesterday because I had to go out of town, so today I've been trying to get as much done as possible.

One thing I've noticed is that every time I start on something; whether it's writing, reading, cooking or whatever...my husband thinks he needs to interrupt me a hundred times. He's been changing the oil in our vehicles today, and I bet he's come in an interrupted me twenty times in the past hour. The funny thing about it is I bet if I were just sitting here and watching television he would be leaving me alone. Both my sister and my mother say their husbands do that to them too. Ashley even said my niece will be playing off to herself, but when Ashley gets on the phone, that's when Snow White decides she wants her to play with her, or she needs something.

Does that happen with y'all too? Let me be busy and Chris is all over me. Let me be bored to death and he has his own thing to do. Since I've started writing on this blog he has interrupted me 3 times already! Make that 4. He literally just came in here to tell me he was putting air in the car's tire. LMAO! It's getting to the point where it's almost getting comical. What am I going to do with such a loveable pest!!

It's finally warming up here. Yesterday it never got hotter than 14 degrees here. That's unusual for Arkansas. It's nice to be at a balmy 27 degrees now. o_o

Whew! It's been a busy weekend! Chris and I spent some time with my Mother, Grandmother, Ashley and Snow White. We had a lot of fun together reminiscing about the past, and talking about our hopes for the future; especially when we look at my two year old niece. We had an excellent time, and as usual time goes fast when we are together. We'll see them at Thanksgiving, so it's something else to look forward to besides the food!

Ashley has read what I've wrote on my latest book. She said she really likes what I've written so far, so I'll hopefully be writing more on it tomorrow.

Chris has decided to start on putting lights on the house this week. For the next two weekends we will be busy with family and friends, so he's wants to get a big dent of it done before next weekend. It will depend on whether or not the weather will hold up. Let's hope it does!

Thank goodness it's time to wind down and relax for the rest of the night! Yay!

I love Autumn

I didn't do what I set out to do today. I should have used my time wisely and worked on my latest book, but instead I ended up doing nothing but watch television, sit outside and go out of my way to irritate my husband. :)
The weather here has been spectacular. Mid 60's which I love, and the leaves are starting to turn into those burnt oranges, yellows and reds that are so mesmerizing to look at. I wish the weather would stay like this. I've never been a summer or winter weather fan. Autumn and Spring are definitely my favorite seasons. I found myself sitting outside enjoying the crisp air and the company of my husband, when I should have been writing. *sigh*
Maybe I'll do better tomorrow.
I can't believe that tomorrow is Sunday! Time always goes so quick when you're having fun! Hopefully everyone else has had a great weekend, too!
