Happy Easter!

Well I've been a bad girl this weekend. I haven't written a single word. I think I might be suffering from Spring Fever! I can't resist being outside, even if it's just to sit and watch my husband work on the car.

Chris works tonight, and we live over two hours away from our nearest relative, so we don't really have a chance to celebrate Easter like a lot of people do. I admit, I do miss the big family gatherings we used to have on Easter, but we haven't done that in a long time. With no children, it's almost like another day for us. I did tell Chris a couple of days ago, that sometimes I feel cheated because since we will never have children, we never will get to experience being the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus. I guess that's what being a good Aunt and Uncle is for. I hope Ashley will send some Easter pictures of Snow White. If she does, you know I'll have to post them and share them with my friends here.

I've had a pretty busy day today. I put a lot of books up on Ebay and they've all sold. So I'm packing them up to ship them out. Later, I plan to put up even more. Since I'm not a paperback reader any more, I'm trying to get rid of books that I've held on to for years and never read anymore. It's a chore, but I'll be glad when most of them are gone. It's time to let someone else enjoy them for a while.

I hope everyone has a great Easter! Have a great day!

  1. Happy Easter hon...

You are with Chris - you are healthy, hearty and happy - as my mom says "what more could a girl ask for"...

I did think about the ebay thing to get rid of my books as well - but when I think of the hassle, post office, queues etc - I couldn't be bother , so Care Homes and Hospitals got mine...

Have a great week - hope you get some writing in...

  2. Thanks, EH:)

You're right:) I am thankful for Chris and what I have. Sometimes I can't help but wish we had a child, but it wasn't meant to be...

I've decided to donate a bunch of books too. I'm just getting rid of my Ellora's cave and erotic romances. The regular paperbacks will probably go to the salvation army.

I hope you have a great Easter:) Have a great day

  4. I've been home by myself most of the day. We don't really do the family thing for Easter and haven't for years. I did get some rocking and rolling from the earthquake down south though and I spent a couple hours talking to Shayne. So it's all good. Plus I still got Easter candy, lol.

I should have been writing too. Ah, well. Go you for selling the books. Go green!

  5. Shawn,
Oh my Gosh! Are you alright? Thank god we don't have earthquakes here! We just have tornados...ugh!
That's right! GO GREEN indeed! Books were starting to take over my house. I'm going to get rid of almost all of my M/F erotic romances. I'm keeping the M/M ones. ;)

EH, I'd GIVE books to you if you want them. All of them are about 3 years old or so. Is there something specific you're looking for?

  6. Happy Easter to you too!

I sold all mine except for my VERY few keepers last year, and all I can say is, thank god for my electronic scale and Paypal shipping labels. I used to run an e-bay business (before I started writing, lol), I have a love/hate thing going on with my mailman. ;)

If you take out LKH as "romance" (Anita and Merry aren't quite), I only have a dozen m/f romances left--all historical (out of over 1000 at my height)... Her Ladyship's Companion (LOL), A Rose In Winter, The Gamble, and Hummingbird. Add 8 for KMM's Highlander series. ;) So...12.
