Happy Saturday!!!
This week has been pretty busy. We've been painting the inside of our house and that's taken more time than we anticipated. We have the living room, kitchen and hallway done, but we still have the bathroom to do and we'll be finally finished. YAY!
But for the next couple of days I plan on lazing around and doing some writing. I filled out my cover contract from Siren for By the Light of the Silvery Moon and just received edits for them. I'm pretty thrilled about this upcoming release and can't wait to see what everyone things of it. I'm also working on the next book in the series, Could this be Magic?, and hope to have it completed within the next week or so.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Have a great weekend:)
It's been a very good weekend. I found out yesterday my latest submission, A Hold On His Heart, was accepted for publication at Silver Publishing! I'm pretty excited about it and whenever I find out the date they expect to publish it, I'll definitely let everyone know.
I've been working hard on my current WIP. Originally I planned to complete it and submit it as part of Silver Publishing's 'Father's Day' submission call, but once I finished it I decided to hold off on it. After I read through it, I really felt the need to revamp it a little and turn it from a Novella to a full length Novel. I think my characters have more to say than what they did, so I'll be continuing to work on it and hopefully get it finished and submitted soon.
I've also been working on the first round of edits for Angel's Redemption. It is the next book in my Men of Charlestown series and the story revolves around Jackson (who makes his first appearance in Daniel's Dream) and Elijah's story. I've been working on Angel's Redemption on and off for over a year, so I'm both excited and nervous about its release. I'm still not exactly sure what day it will be released, but if I had to guess I would say probably the end of May or beginning of June.
My grandmother has been doing better. She still has days she's not feeling as strong and healthy as she should, so I still worry about her. I guess I probably always will. If my grandfather was still alive they would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary a few days ago. Isn't that amazing? My grandparents had a strong marriage and when my grandfather died, my grandmother had to really pick herself up and learn to live an independent life. There are so many things I admire and love about her and her zest for life is one of those things. The picture above is of my grandparents. It was taken not long after they married. I love this picture because it shows how playful they were, and how much they loved each other. I thought since I've been talking about them, I would share it with you.
I hope everyone has a happy weekend.

Happy Friday and my interesting Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a festive holiday last week. I had a blast spending time with my grandmother, but I admit that although I did have some nice moments spending time with my family in Little Rock, I was definitely ready to come home.
One bad thing was my mother was sick on Thanksgiving. Instead of postponing it, she decided to do the big dinner anyway. I begged her to put it off because of two reasons.
One: When you're extremely sick the last thing you want to do is cook a huge meal.
Two: I didn't want everyone else to get it.
Thanksgiving dinner was really good, but as soon as my husband and I finished our meal we immediately went outside to start putting lights on my mother's house. Over the years my sweet and very agile husband has graciously put lights on my mother's large two story house. Because her house has many peaks and because the roof is not level, he can't just get on top of the house and put lights on that way, instead he has to do however much he reaches every time he goes up and down the ladder. This way unfortunately takes time. A LOT of time. So, he and I spent the rest of the day and into the evening putting lights on her house. On the plus side, it looked really good when we were finished with it and my mother loved it, so it was worth the time and effort we had to put with it.
Another thing that happened was I totally came out about my writing to my extended family. My mother, grandmother, stepfather, sister, brother in law and a few cousins already knew about my writing. Almost all of them own my books and are very supportive of me. Well, my stepsister and her husband and kids didn't know about it. My mother and I were talking about it when they walked up and overheard some of our conversation. I told them about my books and that I write AND read gay romances and my step sister's husband about had a fit. Basically, he told me that I was going to hell in a hand basket and that it's bad enough that I write romances (he actually called it porn) but now that he knows that I write GAY romances I'm doomed to fry in hell for all eternity. He was so upset he left the dinner early. Well, I was glad to see him go, but sad that he's homophobic religious zealot that doesn't have a clue about how beautiful love truly is. How sad it must be to have such hatred and...well fear in his heart. I hope that one day he'll wake up and realize that love is love irregardless of race or gender. At least that's how my God intended it to be.
Of course we did the black Friday thing. We fought the crowd, bought a Wii cheap and finished our Christmas shopping and then went back to mother's house and crashed.
I woke up Sunday with a sore throat. Since then I've been sick. This is the third time in a month that I've had some sort of head cold/flu. Because I've gone through five...that's right...FIVE boxes of Kleenex this past month, I'm thinking of buying some stock with them...LOL.
On a positive note: I've completed my first round of edits for my upcoming release, No Greater Love. I'm super excited about this book and I'm working with a new editor whom I really like. I haven't heard from the cover editor yet, and I'm anxious to see what the cover will be.
I'm also excited and looking forward to reading some Christmas stories from some of my favorite authors this year!! I hope I'll be up to putting up the tree this weekend...if not it looks like it'll be another week. I don't know about y'all, but I'm ready for some Christmas cheer!!
I'll hopefully be posting some pictures from last week on here in a few days, in the meantime I thought I would post some eye candy and my baby girl.
Have a very happy weekend:)

Yay! We're home!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We were out of town for several days. My husband is on vacation for two weeks and we've really enjoyed traveling and seeing family. Admittedly, I'm thrilled to be home. I missed sleeping in my own bed. My favorite part of Christmas was playing with my niece, Snow White. It's always hard leaving her pretty face. She's so sweet and smart, she's really a joy to be around.
Tomorrow I have final edits to do on Yummy Indulgences and then after this week, I'm hoping to get my current WIP completed so I can move onto different heroes that has been impatiently waiting for their story. I've been trying to come up with a western/cowboy themed story, but I'm not having any luck with it. I'm hoping something will come to me really soon.
If I don't see y'all before the new year, I hope all of you have a fun and very safe holiday:)
