Kissed by Nemesis is NOW released!!

I am so excited! Kissed by Nemesis is now available through EXtasy books!! I admit I am very nervous about this book being released. It's been almost two years since I've published something new and my anxiety level is off the charts...ugh!

Here is the blurb:

Nemesis breaks the laws of fate to be with his forever mate, but will Jared be able to accept what he must do for them to have an eternal life together?

Jared lived an ordinary life until the day he was kidnapped because of his twin brother’s evil deeds. Days later, he comes to the horrific conclusion he will not be saved. Just when he’s lost all hope, out of nowhere an ethereal looking man appears and Jared begins to believe this gorgeous creature just might be his salvation after all. Nemesis has one job to do. He must follow the laws of fate and sit in judgement of mortals. When Nemesis is called to witness the dire circumstances surrounding Jared because of his brother’s cruel choices, he is surprised when the helpless mortal can see and talk to him. Instinctively knowing Jared is his forever mate, Nemesis breaks the laws of fate and saves Jared’s life, in turn threatening his own existence. Only Jared’s unconditional love and acceptance will seal their destiny together, but will his mortal be able to face the harsh judgement of what’s to come?

Thank you for looking!!

Kissed by Nemesis has a release date!!

I'm so excited! Kissed by Nemesis will be released on September 15th!!

Only Jared’s unconditional love and acceptance will seal their destiny together, but will his mortal be able to face the harsh judgement of what’s to come?

I would like to say that this could be read as a stand-alone book in the series, but I do highly suggest reading the first book, Kissed by Death before reading this one. Nemesis plays a pretty large part in Thanatos and Gregory's book as well as the other brothers who will have their own stories to come.

*HUGS*  I hope everyone has a great week ahead!!

46 isn't that bad...right?

I'm not afraid to reveal that it's been a long year. In some ways it's been a good one and in many ways it hasn't been that great. On the negative side, we are still dealing with the sudden death of my brother-in-law. Between his death and the consequences of being a victim of a vehicular manslaughter has brought much heartache to my family. We are still waiting for the woman to go to trial for hitting him and hopefully, we will before the year is over. I personally believe it won't happen until after the holidays are over, but we will see.

On the positive side, I've discovered a lot of things this year. I've made many supportive friends and enjoyed putting myself back out there again. This is not an easy thing for me to do because I'm basically an introvert and I've been burned many times before, but I've learned that nothing ventured is nothing gained, right?

Also, I am finally getting my writing published again. I'm thrilled to see my books being read and enjoyed by many readers. It has given me the drive to continue to do what I love...and that is write. I will have a new book published soon and I'm working hard on the next Men of Charlestown book, Flowers for Him. I hope to have at least two to four books finished by the years end, so please keep your fingers crossed for me.

The picture above is of me and my beloved niece Snow White. It's a pretty recent pic and as you can tell I adore the ground that baby walks on! This year she started third grade and I am so proud of her!! Here is a picture of her on her first day of school this year:

It's amazing to see how much she's growing up. She loves to read and told me the other day she wants to write a books just like I do...isn't that the coolest?

We spent my birthday at with my family at the lake and had a blast. It was good to be surrounded by people who love me and who I love. As usual, time flies when you're having fun and our weekend together was way too short. BUT I loved it and look forward to making many more happy memories together in the years to come.

While I was at the lake His Christmas Wish was rereleased through eXtasy books! I'm so thrilled and I hope that those to chose to buy it will enjoy it as much as I did writing it.

So after much reflection, after having the year I've had I've realized it's basically been a good one. I'm actually ready to see it go and I'm anxious to see what the next year for me will bring. Thank you all for taking this amazing ride with me.  *HUGS*

Sasha is a good supervisor

I'm thrilled to announce that Kissed by Nemesis will be released on September 1st!! I'm so excited about this release! It's the first completed book I've finished in a long time. I fell in love with my heroes, Jared and Nemesis, and I hope you will too.

His Christmas Wish will be re-released on August 15!! I'm so thrilled to have received a lot of positive emails from people telling me how much they missed these characters and how glad they are back out there. I am too.  As you can tell by the pictures above, Sasha has been helping me write. We are currently writing on the next Men of Charlestown book *hope to have it finished by the end of the month* and a stand-alone book that's been plaguing me for a long time. Sasha is a good supervisor and he keeps me on my toes...lol!

The past couple of weeks have been very busy ones for me. Last week, my grandmother turned 87 and we had a nice birthday party for her. We've been busy this summer visiting family and although it's been a HOT season, we've had a good one.

Yummy Indulgences is now released!!

Today is a very happy day for me! My book, Yummy Indulgences is not available through extasy books!! I'm so happy to have this book re-released and through such an amazing publishing company.

Here is the blurb for Yummy Indulgences:

Sparks fly when blue collared worker Allen meets Shiloh the baker, but as their relationship becomes serious, will they be able to handle the heat?

What should have been just another day, ended up changing Allen Garner’s life forever. He’d just finished the night shift as a supervisor at the rendering plant, when his sister gives him a frantic call asking him for a favor to meet with the local baker, Shiloh Ballard, and pick out his parent’s fortieth wedding anniversary cake. Reluctantly roped into doing this chore, when all he wants to do is go home and sleep, Allen is surprised and immediately enchanted by the beautiful baker the moment he lays eyes on him.

Shiloh can’t believe a strong, masculine man like Allen would ever be interested in a rainbow flying, petite baker like himself. Immediately sparks fly between them and they are swept up into a whirlwind romance which soon turns into a deep love neither man expected. But there is one problem.  Allen hasn’t revealed his sexuality at work and because of this, their relationship must be kept a secret, causing both men to wonder if their relationship is strong enough to survive living together as a couple out and proud.

Thanks for checking it out. I truly love this book and this series and I am so thrilled about it being released!!

Finished and submitted

I did it! I finished Kissed by Nemesis!! It is the first book I've successfully completed in almost two years. I am so happy I was able to work through my writer's block and thanks to my characters the story went pretty smoothly. They had a good story to tell.

I've sent it off to my editor so now the waiting begins. I hate this part. Ugh!

There will be three more books in the Kissed by an Immortal series. I'm really anxious to write the third book in the series, Kissed by Keres and hope to have it done by the end of the year. I've started the next book in the Men of Charlestown series and there is another book Color My World that I'm currently working on now. I'm also going to try and squeeze a Christmas story in there somewhere too. So if things go the way I plan...by the end of the year I hope to have four more books done.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Now, I'm off to stalk my email....ugh.

Sasha and I need a vacation!

I am so tired and as you can tell by the picture above, Sasha my four-legged son, is exhausted too. He's with me every step I take and supervises me while I write, cook and everything in between. I love him so much, I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. He is my sweet boy.

Between working hard at finishing my book and running back and forth to Little Rock *which is 2 hours away* this girl is exhausted. I attempted to write tonight, but when I found I kept repeating myself and having to continuously go back and fix things, I knew it was time for a break. Plus, by the look of my son *See Picture Above* he is ready for me to take a break too.

So I decided to walk away from it for one night.

I am SOOOO close to being done, so I should still achieve my goal of finishing Kissed By Nemesis today or tomorrow.  Is it okay to say that I really love the two heroes in my book? Jared and Nemesis really work hard at making their relationship a successful and happy one. I liked them both and loved the story they had me tell. I'm very excited to see if you guys will love them like I do too.

Another fantastic thing that's happened this week is that Kissed by Death has been read and reviewed by several review sites AND they really liked the story! This is an oddity for me because I NEVER get reviewed so I am so thrilled and appreciative to anyone who takes time out of their valuable day to read and review my book. It really makes all of the hard work worth it and it totally makes my day.

So, I hope to actually finish my book and do some darn laundry around here soon. I keep hoping the laundry fairy will come and do it all while I'm asleep, but alas she never does. I guess she's to busy having a blast at the beach, drinking Strawberry Daiquiris and hanging out with hot men...lucky girl!

I think Sasha and I need a vacation.

Have a great day:)  See you soon.  *HUGS*

Happy Monday!!

Hello Friends!

I hope everyone has had a good Father's Day weekend. Ours was a quiet. We mainly stayed home and did things around the house.

I've got good news!! I'm almost done with my book, Kissed by Nemesis. I've got about three chapters to go and it will be completed. At this rate, I should hopefully be finished with it in the next couple of days. I'm so happy that I've been able to work through the writer's block I've had for the past two years. It's been a hard journey, but I did it!

What's even better is that I really like the story I created. I love my two heroes, Nemesis and Jared and truly hope you guys will adore them like I do.

Well, I'm off to bed. Have a great day.

Snow White's 8th Birthday Party

Hello Friends!

As I mentioned in a previous post my niece, Snow White had her 8th birthday party this week. She celebrated it at the local roller skating rink with a few friends and had a great time.  I thought I'd share a few pictures of her party.

Nothing is better than a rainbow themed party and sharing some cheap pizza with friends. :)

I loved her outfit...particularly those rainbow colored socks. Her hair bows rocked it too!

She had a colorful cake and cupcakes with rainbow candies on them. It was soo good!

She had a blast and later said it was the best Birthday Party she ever had. Can't believe she's eight years old already and it will be interesting to see what changes she goes through in the next year.

Want to know more about Kissed by Death?

Here is the Blurb:

When Gregory Harris was fourteen he had a massive heart attack during a baseball game. While others are desperately trying to keep him alive, a tall, handsome man in a hooded black cloak suddenly appears beside him.  Young Gregory instinctively realizes this man is the Grim Reaper, and has come to take him off to the afterlife. Just when he’s ready to be taken by the Angel of Death, Gregory notices his parents so grief-stricken, he begs the Angel of Death for more time on Earth to be with them. Shockingly, he manages to convince the mysterious being to allow him to live a while longer, knowing the consequence of not having an active life. Even though Gregory was around the Angel of Death for just a few short moments, he never forgets his handsome face, the surprising attraction and kinship he felt for the mysterious creature.

Seven years later, the Angel of Death has come back to claim Gregory’s life. Even though he is ready to move onto the afterlife, Gregory can’t help but feel regret because he’s never had a lover to call his own. Just as the reaper is about to take him away, Gregory remembers he once read if you are able to trick the reaper, you can be granted more life or even able to escape death itself. But Gregory has no intention of escaping the Grim Reaper, instead he intends to do whatever it takes to make Angel of Death realize they truly belong together forever.

Thank you for checking it out:)  I really appreciate it.

Release Day!!

Today is a reason for me to celebrate. My book, Kissed by Death is re-released through Extasy books today and to make matters even BETTER...it is my gorgeous niece's 8th birthday today...how is that for an amazing, awesome and positive sign?  WHOOP!

To celebrate Snow White's 8th birthday we are attending her first roller skating party tonight. She will be wearing her new skates and since her party is rainbowed themed, she's definitely going to rival Rainbow Bright by the fun and many colors she wears. I'll post pictures of the party when I get home.

I hope everyone has a great day today. Thanks so much,

*HUGS*

WTF

Fuck.

I apologize in advance because I'm about to do some venting and will probably use some salty language. I normally don't do this, but after the news we've had today, I think I might be entitled.

So, when I last blogged I shared that the trial for the woman who hit my brother-in-law in a head on collision was supposed to be tomorrow. We, as a family have been ready for this. It's been a year of sheer hell. No lie. To think in one moment he was lost due to someone being on a narcotic, passing in the fog because she didn't want to be late for her husband's appointment pisses us all off. To make matters worse, she has been very cold about all of this. But, that's neither here nor there. If I get too much into it I will probably need a drink or four in a few minutes. The woman has been a monster about this and it's made shit worse than it was already.

SO...

We get a call from the prosecuting attorney. Guess what? Her lawyer requested a continuance so the trial is being postponed until August 19th. Now, please don't get me wrong. We know how it can be with these kinds of things. Things are postponed...etc, but it still hurts. It hurts because my husband and in laws are unable to get on with their lives because of this bullshit. Watching the events progress since JR's death have been educational at most. It's very apparent the court system...in our case at least, is catered for the defendant. No thoughts toward the victim and his family. No thoughts for the hell they've gone through. No thoughts for the loss they've had. As long as you have a good defense attorney and well...money, you're set.

Fuck.

This sucks. My mother-in-law had a horrible weekend and a bad day yesterday. She's been crying and extremely emotional *the anniversary of his death is also coming up* and both my in-laws are living in sheer hell. They can't not think about the upcoming trial. They can't help but worry. They can't help but vent and grieve over every damn thing that's happened to them. Now, they get to worry, fret and worse for ANOTHER two months because we're just putting off the inevitable. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of seeing my husband and his family be heartbroken. I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Sorry for the rant. I'll be better next time. I'm just frustrated, heart hurt and angry as hell.

Thanks for being there.

Happy Monday!

Sasha and I Wish You a Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was good. Did some writing and spent time with hubby and his parents.

The woman who hit and killed my brother in law is on trial Wednesday. I'm worried, but ready for it to be over. It's time for some justice for him so we can all lay him to rest peacefully.

If you don't see me before the 10th, have a great week ahead.

The transition of Snow White

It's been a long time since I've posted recent pictures of my niece, Snow White. She just finished her last day of second grade and I thought I'd share her pictures with you.

There is a comparison in the first picture between the first and last day of second grade. As you can see, that girl is growing up so quickly! Oh my goodness!! I love seeing her develop and grow into her own person, but I'm mourning for the young child I once knew.

She has a heart of gold. If you need something she'll give it to you. She actively includes others, befriends everyone, is sharp as a tack, loves to be creative and LOVES to read! I am super proud of her and love her so very much.

In the last picture, she's just having fun in the front of the camera. She has a sense of humor that keeps all of us laughing all the time.

We get to keep her some this summer and I'm looking forward to it. One day, she'll be too busy to hang out with her boring Aunt and Uncle, *she thinks we are fun now...wink* so I'm going to enjoy all of the moments we spend with her.

I love this little girl and am so proud to call her my niece. She is awesome and one day she'll grow up to be the kind of woman I know I'd like to one day be.

It's a hard lesson to learn

My husband has been dealing with some issues over his brother's death. Many of you may or may not remember my brother-in-law was killed in a motorcycle accident last year. He had done everything right that morning. He wore a helmet. He had some protective gear on. He stayed in his lane and didn't drive reckless. Unfortunately, he was still hit head on and was killed instantly by a woman driving a Tahoe and who was running late for a Dr's appointment.  She has finally been arrested and charged. There has been a trial date set and now the waiting begins.

I'm not going to pretend this year hasn't been one of the hardest years we've ever had. My husband is a strong man, but tragedies like this will push at the boundaries of anyone's strength. I'm proud of him. Together as a unit we've been to work through some stuff and I think we've come out stronger than before. He has horribly hard days. His brother was very young and he wants to vent at the unfairness of it all, but what it's done most of all is make all of us appreciate life. Time goes by very quick. One moment you're kissing your spouse and headed for work, the next you're singing with the angels in Heaven. That's how it is. Now we make sure we don't go a single day without telling each other how much we love and appreciate one another. His brother taught us that. It's been a hard lesson to learn.

So having said this, I want to let everyone know how much I appreciate you. Thank you for hanging in there with me and for being my friend. *HUGS*

Edits, edits and more edits...

I hope everyone has had a great week so far. Mine has been good. I just finished the first round of edits for Kissed by Death for eXtasy books and know the second round is coming soon. I'm really excited about this re-release and can't wait to see what kind of cover art they will come up with.

I've been diligently working on the second book in the Kissed by an Immortal series. It's called Kissed by Nemesis and it will be finished within the next couple of weeks. I love these characters and have totally become infatuated with Nemesis. He's definitely been fun to write.

After I finish Kissed by Nemesis, I will be working on the next book in the Men of Charlestown series. It's called Chandler's Hope and I'm anxious to get back to my Charlestown men. eXtasy will also be publishing this series and I'm thrilled my boys have found a good home.

I've also had a WIP that's driving me crazy to be completed. More about that one soon...lol.

At the end of the week, I'll be at my sister's house. Going to be a girls weekend and we're all looking forward to spending time together.

As soon as I get a firm release date for Kissed by Death (I know it's supposed to be next month) and come cover art, I'll definitely share with you.

I also want to let you know I'm changing my email address. My live account has done nothing but give me trouble. It seems to eat my emails and I've been unhappy with it for some time now.

My new email address is:  authorandianderson@gmail.com

I love hearing from you guys, so anytime you want to send me a line, please do!

Have a great week ahead!  *HUGS*

Happy Monday!

It's been an interesting week. I've been doing some writing. I'm currently working on three different projects, so I hope to have one of them done by the end of the month.

Hubby and I have had a good weekend. Went to the movies and just generally hung out together. I enjoy spending time with him. He's my best friend, lover and all around confidant. For the first time, since I've known him, he shaved off his goatee, and I was happily surprised by his pretty boyish face.

Going spend some time with family this week. I hope everyone has a great week ahead!

Happy Thursday!

Not much has been going on this week. Everything has been going pretty smoothly, and I'm ashamed to say it, when this happens I'm usually waiting for the other shoe to fall.

No more pessimism today.

I've been writing. It feels good to actually get some words down. Even better, I actually like what I've wrote so far. It's still be a slow process, but I'm getting there. Finally! I've got so many characters running around in my head, it's time to tell their story.

Hubby is going on be on vacation next week. YAY! I'm ready to spend some quality time together. We do plan on doing some constructive things next week. We are going to paint the bathroom and hopefully our bedroom. Not really looking forward to it, but on a positive note: it's always fun being with my husband, so it should be an adventure. *Grin*

I hope everyone has a great week ahead.

Milo

Meet the newest addition to our family, Milo. My mother brought him home Friday and he's been the star of the house since! As you can tell by picture below, my niece has totally fell in love with him! She informed my mother that she is his 'Little Momma' and will take care of him forever.

He took to my mom and our family with total ease. We all will probably spoil him, but who in their right mind wouldn't? I mean look at his face!

Think the 'Little Momma' is crazy about him? LOL

He's so tiny and honestly shouldn't get much bigger. Hubby and I left my mother, niece and family with a full heart. Everyone is so happy about our newest little family member and already love him so much!!

Kissed by Death has a new home!!

Guess what? I'm thrilled to announce that my book, Kissed By Death, has found a new home. It will be re-released through eXtasy books!! I can't wait to go through the new edits and get a new cover for my baby. Even better, they really like the book and approved it to be a series!! YAY!  It is tentatively scheduled for release around 6/15 of this year and I'll definitely keep you guys in the loop about it as time goes on.

We're going to see my family this weekend. My mom is getting a new four legged baby and we are all excited to greet the newest member of the family. He is a Yorkie and she's already named him, Milo.  Isn't that the sweetest name? I'll take pictures and share with you next week.

There is also another surprise coming in the works...we're still hashing things out and and hopefully as things come together, I'll be sharing it with you soon too.

Everyone have a great week ahead!

More to come soon... *HUGS*

Let it Snow?

It's been snowing here and unfortunately the snow has turned to ice. This will keep us from getting out, but luckily we have electricity and internet.

Due to blogger's new picture policy, I'm contemplating moving my blog to wordpress. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. Either way, I'm definitely going to let y'all know.

I'm going to work on a WIP this week. As the week progresses and as I get into it I'll give you guys more information. I'm going to do my best to work through this writer's block and get some work done!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and week ahead.

Getting back into the swing of things...

Well, it's been a while since I've actually posted anything but the occasional holiday stuff. I'm not going to pretend and act like it hasn't been an easy past 6 months or so, because that would be a lie.

Life has definitely been different since my brother in law's death. We are slowly trying to get back to normal, but sometimes it feels like even though we just took one step forward...we immediately have to take two steps back. There is still things going on and I know we still have a very hard time ahead of us, but with a lot of love and determination, we should get though it.

I've been recovering from the flu. I'm finally feeling better and I'm tentatively trying to get back into the swing of things, so please bear with me. My writing has been slow to non-existent, and starting Sunday night I am really going to WORK my way through this block I've got. I've got way too many characters talking to me...I just need to somehow get it written down...sigh.

I hope everyone has had a great winter so far. We've got several inches of snow this week and they're calling for more. Hopefully, I'll feel better soon enough to play in it!

Have a great week ahead.
